Amazing to look at and curious how it feels on the double decker skybridge, thought to be the highest bridge in the world connecting both towers together. The view of Kuala Lumpur city is spectacular from this bridge. Though I am a height freak I somehow made it to the top. A few amazing views taken from the skybridge :
Yet another site that makes Georgetown a UNESCO World Heritage site is the Kek Lok Si temple. It’s a 131 year old unique Buddhist temple located near Air Itam mountain in Georgetown Penang
Its a city with a mix of old colonial and cultural buildings and shophouses with the old original design and structure which are mostly attached to the Chinese communities in the area; it is also a modern city with modern buildings and big shopping malls. It was a hot sunny day when we arrived Georgetown and having never been here before, we wanted to cover the heritage side of the city as much as we can as well as to savor the local delicacies that was always talked about on the travel sites.
We have not had lunch at this time and one of the hotel staff said that Sri Weld Hawkers center isn’t far away and not bad at all to try out. So we started walking out of The prestige Hotel where we are staying. We thought it was a nice walk and after seven minutes later, we reached the hawkers place. Truly, not bad at all as there’s a lot food varieties from each stall that was available there. We have even decided to go to the same place for breakfast the next morning before exploring further out. There was a long line on the front and we were wondering why there are so many people in line. It was the savory traditional ‘Nasi Lemak’ (fragrant rice, archives & Chili paste on a banana leaf which we did try and of course, it was delicious.
Arrived Georgetown Penang on a short 3Days 2 Nights stay and had our accommodation booked at The Prestige Penang, constructed out of old shophouses and warehouses, to this amazing hotel. The hotel website features a detailed description that attracted us to stay here. When we arrived, our expectation was high. But gladly the hotel staff made us feel welcome the minute we stepped in. My first impression on whats around : seeing a small lobby area / shiny platinum checking in counter, the on site dining area right on the opposite side, the lounge area, & the arcade , they were all in a separate area of space unlike a traditional big hotels, making it uniquely prestigious!
These Water Lilies attracted my eyes, they are real and beautifully located right on the building entrance of the Art Science Museum building at Marina Bay.
So we have longed wanted to visit Malacca but never had enough time to spare each time when we are in the area. Its a 2 hour pleasant drive from Kuala Lumpur, though not on a cloudy and rainy day. Thanks to my college best friend, Flora, who made the arrangement and made this trip possible. We weren’t lucky enough to choose this day as it was raining intermittently all day through. Also thanks to Danny for guiding us on this trip. We had a wonderful lunch at Siew Tin’s Nyonya Kitchen to savor the Nyonya dishes. And here are some of the very colorful scenes I have ever taken in pictures.
An Ole’ Country road leading to my family homestead where tree branches dropped low to form the perfect sun shade, a one way country road just meant for a household. As John Denver’s hit song “Take Me Home, Country Roads” runs through the mind while driving here will be the best description of this picture. This country road cuts right through the family orchard with mighty views of fruit trees on both sides with some highlights of bamboo shrubs.

Climbing the narrow steep steps up to this Pyramid is an experience. Its scorching hot weather and with its high humidity, you will be sweating hard ahead of yourself!
After all the effort, you’ll be feeling on top of the world with spectacular view all around you. They say …. There used to be an altar on the top and was said to have built to honor a deity.

Walking tour in Rio was a pretty good idea to do! This place is so amazing to visit and there is so much to see, its a much needed place to visit! You can see churches in every corner, I mean they are 18th Century churches with wonderful designs and structures. You can even have a chance to see the old gold plated church in Rio!
The area is huge but the area has thousands of visitors daily
Visitors are still flocking in
On the trail, Some of the sulphuric springs have dried up during our visit. The temperature was about 90F. Good to see this place again after the last visit 7 years ago.
Its always cloudy whenever we visit this place. There is always a crowd but each time we have a chance to be here or just passing though, this place stays majestic. Good to see these enormous sculptures again.
This is an eye catcher on the freeway, was curious what the sculpture was all about. Well this a kind of hobby to someone with a talent and a collection of scrap metals and the love of wildlife.
On the same highway stretch, I thought the drive was beyond beautiful to my mind as the sky was just as blue and white clouds in contrast.
The tiny-teeny town of Medora is a gateway to this quiet and isolated park. This park is the least visited of all and is of course a tribute to the 26th President who was also a Conservationist. When we arrived and drove around Medora, we instantly felt “at leisure” as there was no traffc lights, cars were moving kinda slow. Looking around, we saw this ☑️ an amazing ride!
Its a Cowboy Hall of Fame too!
A small vibrant town, this place can sometimes be a hectic place to be with the cost of accommodation skyrockets from May to October. By its name, it is the gateway to the Yellowstone National Park and Mammoth Hot springs.
With our destination city still about 4 hours away, we decided to stop by for our picnic lunch at the city park here. Just after lunch, the weather changed, it drizzled with a cloudy sky but did not last long. We then continued our trip directly to Billings and that was nine hours drive total. Such a long and tiring day!
Chose to drive through scenic highway 191 on our way to Billings driving through the beautiful Gallatin country with Gallatin river visible all along for hours. Its an awesome ride with many miles of breathtaking views of the valley.

Probably best visited in the Summer months, an amazing place with breathtaking view while driving on Highway 101.
